For those more on the adventurous side, take a hike on the Bond Falls Loop on either side of the river.

Directions:
To reach Bond Falls from Two Rivers Motel & Cabins, turn right onto M-28 west and continue to Calderwood Road just east of Trout Creek. Turn right onto Calderwood Road, and continue south and west until you take a slight right onto Bond Falls Road. Bond Falls Road will take you directly to the dam that forms Bond Falls Flowage and the upper part of Bond Falls.
Parking:
Parking is free at the upper part of Bond Falls, located by the Bond Falls Outpost; however, this access point is not wheelchair-friendly. The Michigan State Park entrance is just past the free parking at the upper part of Bond Falls. The State Park area offers access to the lower part of the falls, featuring viewing platforms and a boardwalk, and requires a Michigan Recreation Passport, which can be purchased on-site. The State Park parking area is closed for vehicles in the winter, but the upper parking area is available all year.

Location: M-28, west of Trout Creek
Drive Time: ~10 minutes

This scenic waterfall (pronounced AGG-it) is nestled under an old railroad bridge and surrounded by thick forest. It’s a great quick stop for travelers heading east or west through the UP. For those more on the adventurous side, hike to the old railroad trestle and see the falls from above, or hike down below the falls for a spectacular view that's up close and personal

Directions:
To reach Agate Falls from Two Rivers Motel & Cabins, turn right onto M-28 west and continue to the Agate Falls Roadside Park, just east of Trout Creek. The Roadside park is on the south side of M-28.
Parking:
Plenty of parking is available in the Roadside Park. This park is typically open from April 28th to sometime late in October, depending on the weather. Even if the gate for the Roadside Park is closed for the season, you can still park just outside the gate and walk in to see the falls.

📍 Duppy Falls – 7 Miles from Two Rivers Motel & Cabins
Location: US Forest Service Road 168, south of Kenton
Drive Time: Approximately 10 minutes
Difficulty: 🟠 Moderate
Duppy Falls is a tranquil, lesser-known waterfall on the Jumbo River, located in the Ottawa National Forest. The falls consist of three small drops over weathered volcanic rock along the Jumbo River, nestled among steep, forested hills. Accessing the falls involves a short hike through a forested area, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful outdoor experience. The path to the falls was created by anglers and is very rustic and may be hard to find. You may need to cross over a small stream using an old 2x4. When you find the falls, don't forget to head upstream to see the additional waterfall drops.

Directions:
To reach Duppy Falls from Two Rivers Motel & Cabins, head east on M-28 toward Kenton. Turn right onto Forest Highway 16 and travel just over 5 miles south to a two track road.
Parking:
There is a rustic parking area with a trail down to the falls that is not always marked very well.

Location: South of Two Rivers Motel and Cabins, off Golden Glow Road
Drive Time: ~7 minutes

Jumbo Falls is a hidden gem on the Jumbo River, offering a smooth, rounded drop waterfall onto a calm river shelf. This quaint waterfall is tucked into towering pines and cedars. The hike to the falls is short—less than half a mile—but you’ll feel worlds away. It’s a great pairing with a visit to Duppy Falls, just a few miles downriver.

Gravels Roads
Directions:
From Two Rivers Motel & Cabins, go straight across M-28 onto Golden Glow Road about 1.8 miles, and then turn left at the first intersection. From there, turn right at the fork in the road, which will cross the snowmobile trail and lead past an old sand pit. The trailhead, marked by a trout sign, will be just under a mile from the fork in the road.
Parking:
Park at the trout sign and follow the path on foot, heading upstream to the falls.
